I’ve been married for 15 years and I’ve somehow managed to never beat my wife. But if I did, I’m pretty sure my friends and family would be all like, “He hardly ever beats her. It’s like once every 15 years. No biggie.”
RIGHT?!?  A couple of friends of mine from high school are now married, and a few years ago I found out he had hit her. Pretty bad.  They are still together and she has apparently forgiven him, but even if he never lays another hand on her, he will always be the guy who beat up my friend.
