Fluorescent green rollerblades are Where It’s At.
God damn it I miss rollerblading. I used to do it all the time and I was FUCKING AWESOME at it. I could turn corners like a speed skater (much like what this guy is doing) go backwards really fast, spin around… all that fancy shit.
I had to take those skillz off my resume because I kept getting laughed at.
Pssst - you should totally get some quad skates and join a roller derby team.
If they allowed rollerblades I TOTALLY would. But on the quads I SUUUUUCK. And it’s not like I never got practice. When I was growing up my dad’s best friend owned the roller rink in town. We would always go over there, and he and his friend would go smoke pot while my brother and I got the whole rink to ourselves. (KLASSY CHILDHOOD.) So I’ve had lots of practice on regular skates, but I could just never get the hang of them. When blades were invented it was like a whole new world of mobility opened up for me. I was like a shut-in who finally got my Hoveround. I went to the Grand Canyon, I had fun with my grandchildren… It was incredible.
